“Stemming from the physiognomy of brutal beatings, my work comments on the political injustices surrounding the societal systemic growth in the emergence of injuries and fatalities inflicted by law enforcement in America.  By depersonalising the identity of the faces that have been moulded I comment on current racial prejudices and stereotypes in contemporary society, and how these supposed, outdated and unacceptable ideologies seemingly still reside in the underlying contexts of society. This is done through the manipulation of the face through casting and drawing by inflicting deformations onto the face moulds, re-representing the injuries of the real life victims."
